EuroPride Stockholm is coming to an end. It has been an eventful week with wonderful stage performances with international artists like Conchita Wurst, Eleni Foureira and Sara Aalto. We have also seen dazzling Swedish stars like Jessica Andersson, Robin Bengtsson, Marcus Krunegård, ionnalee and DJ Gunn Lundemo on stage at EuroPride Park.
And of course the reunion of Alcazar. We have heard speakers like Pia Sundhage and Anja Pärson. Over 12,000 Eurovision fans came to see Schlager night, which was a visitor’s record – and Saturday evening’s show brought a lot of visitor’s as well.
More than 800 lectures, panel talks and other events have been held at EuroPride House and around Stockholm. Among the most well-attended at EuroPride House, there was a political debate on migration policy and a human rights conference where the rights of the LBGT people globally were discussed, with the opening speaker Alice Bah Kunke, Minister of Culture and Democracy.
The EuroPride Parade broke all records, with 45,000-60,000 happy and committed participants in about 250 floats and groups along the way from the City Hall to EuroPride Park at Östermalms IP.
We would like to take the opportunity to thank all of our fantastic business partners who have helped make this week possible. Thank you for standing up for everyone’s equal value and our right to be who we are and love whomever we love!
Now, we have a couple of days pause before the party continues at EuroPride 2018 Gothenburg! Happy Pride!
