The popular pop choir THE CHOIR by ABBA The Museum will perfom at the opening ceremony of EuroPride Park in Stockholm on 1 August. Count on sweet harmonies and a lot of songs by ABBA.
The Choir was founded in 2014 by ABBA The Museum, and Björn Ulvaeus to highlight the 40th anniversary of ABBA winning the Eurovision Song Contest in 1974 with Waterloo. The popular choir, that performs the songs by ABBA we all love, has performed in both Sweden and overseas. Now they are joining the EuroPride opening ceremony in EuroPride Park Stockholm.
– It’s a real pleasure to perform at the opening ceremony of EuroPride, especially with such a wonderful audience. Pride is a festival, a happy and festive event, but also a place where people can be themselves, a proud manifestation that you are free to shape in any way you want, says choir member Ola Nilsson.
Join us, and participate in what will probably be the biggest sing-a-long event of the summer. The opening ceremony also includes, among others, top athletes Anja Pärson and Pia Sundhage, who will deliver opening speeches, and the Rainbow Song, performed by Markus Krunegård, and Stockholm Gay Choir.
Date: 1 August
Time: The opening ceremony starts at 19:00
Location: EuroPride Park, Östermalms IP
