What will you do during EuroPride?
I will be fully involved with the organization of EuroPride in Gothenburg, as chairman of West Pride. In Stockholm there is a lot too. Among other things, a favorite in rerun that will be presented shortly.

Your best Pride memory?
20 years ago when I, almost completely anonymous, went to my first Pride Parade in Stockholm during EuroPride in 1998. It was overwhelming and I remember the feeling of joy, strength and pride. The following month I was elected to the parliament and was the only member who was openly gay for the first four years. The following year, 1999, me and my boyfriend walked first in line in the Pride Parade, hand in hand, and I was the opening speaker for Stockholm Pride, and Pride Park was at the time located in Tantolunden.

What does Pride mean to you?
Extremely much! The strength of manifesting our rights together, taking place and being seen. But it is also the most important platform for political debate and knowledge deepening in LGBTQ+ issues. A solidarity act for all who can not participate, both here at home but above all in all the countries that still criminalize, repress and kill us. And then the innate feeling of togetherness, even though we are all so different in our sprawling community.
